Time for a Cuppa at Eliot Gardens

Residents of Eliot Gardens, one of Jigsaw Homes’ Extra Care schemes in Wigan, recently joined Jigsaw colleagues and attended ‘Time for a Cuppa’.

Those taking part enjoyed a hot drink and cakes and donated money for Dementia UK’s country-wide fundraising event. The money will go towards recruiting more Admiral Nurses who work with the charity to ensure no one has to face Dementia alone.

Jigsaw’s People Advisor Joanne Lightfoot, who attended said: “What a joy it was to visit Eliot Gardens for their Dementia event. Being relatively new to the organisation this was my first scheme visit. It gave me a better understanding of Jigsaw and its values and this absolutely shows in this scheme”.

“It was lovely to meet all the residents and to see them all coming together for this event. Lindsay and the team work so hard and do such an amazing job, it was a privilege to be part of it. The coffee morning raised a total of £163.56, so well done to everyone who was involved.
