Jigsaw Homes are helping to tackle period poverty by partnering up with Every Month, a Manchester-based charity providing free access to menstrual products for those struggling financially.
The Neighbourhoods team donated 160 period packs, including enough pads and tampons to last a month, to Jigsaw Support, Miles Platting Grocers, Dukinfield Pantry, the Big Local and the Oldham Pantry.
Due to the high demand for these packs, the team will continue to support the Every Month campaign to regularly supply the pantries with products.
The Every Month charity is run by volunteers who create and distribute the period packs. They aim to break the stigma around menstruation and are campaigning to provide free, accessible products for people experiencing poverty in Greater Manchester.
