Family Fun Sessions

Family Fun Sessions

Local families got together to enjoy some fun and learning over the Easter holidays.

At the St Georges Centre in Netherfield, Nottingham, the Crop Club ran a fun planting session for all the family. This was attended by 31 people and ATTFE (Academy Transformation Trust Further Education) ran a cooking session the following week, attended by a further 14 people.

Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement team organised these sessions in conjunction with the Netherfield Forum, the Queen’s Award-winning charity which owns and manages the St Georges Centre.

Tina Simpson from the Netherfield Forum said: “Planting with Rose and Megan from the Crop Club was a really lovely relaxing day for all the children and parents and the session was well received by all.”

Over in Coppull, Chorley, families got together for activities including a painting session where they created vibrant bookmarks using water colours, as well as learning to make tasty fishcakes – all thanks to Jigsaw’s partners Sarah’s Studio and Woodchat’s Coffee Shop.
