Cooking Up Healthy Meals in Chorley

Residents in Chorley took part in a mouth-watering cooking course and learned how to make healthy meals on a budget.

A total of 14 people throughout the community joined Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer Tracy Townson and volunteers at Coppull Methodist Church to complete the course which was delivered by Woodchats café.

After attending three cooking sessions, residents received an AQA unit award and have plans to attend future cooking courses throughout the summer and autumn months.

Resident Sharon Bennett said: “I absolutely loved this course. Ruth was an absolute dream and explained things that were really understandable, and I really enjoyed learning new meals that I can try.”
