Community group MyColdhurst has been awarded £3,000 from the Jigsaw Foundation to deliver professional football coaching sessions for young people aged 6 to 15 in Oldham.
The funding will span over a three year period and will support weekly sessions in which 65 children and young people already regularly attend, giving them safe place to play, have fun and stay healthy.
The sessions are free to join to ensure that all local residents can easily access the football coaching without cost being a barrier.
MyColdhurst also encourages young people to give back to the community and take pride in their local area with regular litter picks and other community activities frequently organised.
