Jigsaw Homes has once again been included in the top 50 biggest builders list compiled by housing magazine Inside Housing.
Jigsaw is ranked at number 15 out of 50 in the list that looks at which housing associations are building the most homes in the UK – and number 3 of those based in the North West.
In 2023/24 the Group completed a total of 929 homes and provided 102 homes for social rent – one of the largest increases for this type of tenure in the country.
It also provided 664 homes for affordable rent and 163 which were available through shared ownership and rent to buy.
Among the homes included are those at Bourne Road in Thornton Cleveleys, Abbey Lane in Burscough and Chase Farm in Gedling.
Group Director of Development and People Katie Marshall said: “We have had a record year in terms of the number of homes we have delivered, and really pleased to see that Jigsaw is in the top 15 housing associations in terms of building across the country and one of the top three in the North West region.
“Despite ongoing challenges of contractor insolvencies, delays with planning decisions and high construction costs, by working in partnership with Homes England we have also been able to increase delivery of homes for social rent, along with an increased number of supported homes.
“We remain fully committed to continuing with our high level of delivery of much needed new affordable homes across the North West and East Midlands.”
The top 50 biggest builders completed 42,115 homes in 2023-24, roughly the same as last year’s figure of 42,024.
