10 Rent to Buy properties on Boundary Lane in Hesketh Bank were handed over to Adactus Housing Association (part of Jigsaw Group) by the contractor, Liberty Group, on 23 September 2019.
The site was acquired by Jigsaw Group when it was a former plant nursery. Planning permission was obtained for the homes before Adactus Housing Association appointed Liberty Group as contractors to assist with the design and build.
The high-quality development has helped transform a derelict and overgrown site formerly occupied by a garden centre.
The scheme comprises of 10 3-bedroom homes with sizeable gardens and driveways. Each home has an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, living room, downstairs toilet and kitchen/diner.
Electric car charging points have been fitted adjacent to each property’s car parking space. Bird boxes are attached to each gable wall to provide a habitat and protect species in the area which otherwise might have been impacted by the development. The front boundaries have been lined with plants and the homes were designed to fit in with the surrounding properties, with the dark window frames looking stylish and contemporary.
The Rent to Buy properties mean our residents are able to rent their homes for five years at 80% of market rent. Residents will then have the opportunity to purchase a share in the property.
