***New Management Provider for L&G Affordable Homes***

As you know, your home is currently looked after by Jigsaw Homes Group. Jigsaw have been overseeing all the landlord responsibilities on behalf of Legal & General Affordable Homes, including the management of your tenancy or lease agreement.

From 1st October 2024, Great Places will be your new Management Provider and and Jigsaw will no longer act as a Management Provider for Legal and General affordable homes.

WHAT WILL CHANGE?
Your existing lease or tenancy agreement, including payment terms, will remain unchanged as a result of this change. The main thing that will change will be the way you view information about your home, pay your rent, and how you request services from L&G.

To support this we (L&G) will transfer all the existing data that we hold about you and your home into ‘My Brolly’ (see below for more information), this includes information about your Rent and Service Charge account.

RENT/SERVICE CHARGE COLLECTION
There are some important changes that will take place as a result of this switch over:

1. If you have a Direct Debit with Jigsaw, we (L&G) will arrange for this to be transferred to us.
The new Direct Debit system can only be set up to take payments on the 1st of each month, in line with your lease or tenancy agreement. If the 1st falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the Direct Debit will be collected on the next working day.

We (L&G) know this is not suitable for everyone so please let us know if this is a challenge for you – look out for a separate email from Legal & General with all the details.

2. If you receive Universal Credit or Housing Benefit and it is paid directly to Jigsaw, you might need to make some changes – look out for a separate email from Legal & General with all the details.

3. Any manual or additional payments can be made directly via ‘My Brolly’.

While Great Places continues to take care of your home needs, L&G would like to introduce ‘My Brolly’ – a new digital platform designed to make managing your home easier.
