Green-fingered pupils from a Chorley primary school have bagged themselves a qualification in gardening.
Children from Coppull Primary School have been awarded an AQA unit in community gardening after Jigsaw’s neighbourhood engagement team supported them with a ‘Growing for Goodness’ project.
The project, which took place last spring at the Jubilee Gardens in Byron Crescent, taught the children about planting vegetables, flowers and looking after the environment.
They also learned about the eco system and the importance of gardening as well as how to prepare planters and plant flowers and plants.
